Hugh McGing wins MVP as WMU hockey announces 2019-20 team awards

On Friday, WMU hockey announced the program's team honors for the 2019-2020 season.

Forward Hugh McGing earned the Rob Hodge Most Valuable Player and the Vic Vanderberg Top Scorer Award. McGing ended his tenure putting up career-high numbers, posting 35 points on 13 goals and 22 assists this past season. McGing also became the first Bronco in history to earn First Team All-NCHC honors along with being named an ACHA/CCM First Team All-American.

Goaltender Brandon Bussi and defenseman Ronnie Attard both took home the Suzanne Klopp Rookie of the Year Award. Bussi accumulated an overall record of 18-12-4 with a save percentage of .
