KALAMAZOO, Mich. – St. Louis Blues' draft pick Hugh McGing has been named the 46th captain of the Western Michigan Hockey team for the 2019-20 season.
The senior forward returns for his final year after tallying a career-high 30 points on 16 goals and 14 assists. He had 20 points in conference play on 11 goals and nine assists and was voted Second Team All-National Collegiate Hockey Conference. Through three seasons he has played in 112 career games, racking up 82 points on 33 goals and 49 assists.
The Chicago, Ill., native will be assisted by fellow seniors Wade Allison and Luke Bafia, along with junior Josh Passolt and sophomore Mattias Samuelsson.
