COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Western Michigan senior forward Hugh McGing has been named First Team All-National Collegiate Hockey Conference, as voted upon by the league's coaches and media.
McGing becomes the first player in program history to earn All-NCHC honors twice after being voted Second Team All-NCHC last season. He is also the first player in program history to earn a spot on the first team.
The Chicago, Ill., native played in 23 of the 24 conference games this season, leading the team with 22 points on nine goals and 13 assists. Three of his nine goals went for game-winners.
