KALAMAZOO, MI – Western Michigan has a short week to prepare for Week 8 opponent Eastern Michigan, after the Broncos’ Week 7 contest with Akron was rescheduled to Sunday due to massive flooding at Waldo Stadium.

The resulting loss was WMU’s first Mid-American Conference defeat under first-year coach Tim Lester, and the Broncos will look to rebound against and EMU team that is also looking to right the ship.

After opening the season with back-to-back wins, including the program’s first victory over a Power 5 team in Week 2, the Eagles have lost their last four, most recently a 28-27 defeat to Army, in which EMU went tried to win the game with a two-point conversion in the final minute.
