Holsey Sixth in Heptathlon After Day One at MAC Championships

TOLEDO, Ohio -- Western Michigan freshman Diana Holsey turned in personal-best performances in two events as she sits in sixth place in the heptathlon after the first day of the 2016 Outdoor Mid-American Conference Championships hosted by the University of Toledo on Thursday.

Holsey totaled 2,868 points through the first four events, while teammate and fellow freshman Allison Hufnagel sits just outside of scoring position in 10th at 2,499. Holsey turned in a personal-best time of 14.40 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles to start off the day, finishing third overall. She then reached a personal-best height of 1.
