Hockey's Win Streak Snapped After Loss at Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. – The Western Michigan hockey team saw its six game unbeaten and five game winning streaks snapped after a 4-2 loss at Omaha on Saturday night.

The Broncos picked up goals by Rhett Kingston and Austin Rueschhoff but UNO's Taylor Ward netted a hat trick and goalie Isaiah Saville made 24 saves. WMU (12-10-4, 8-6-2-2 NCHC) was outshot 28-26 on the night and killed off 5-of-6 Maverick power plays.

WMU jumped out to a very early 1-0 lead on Kingston's eight goal of the season. The sophomore forward had a shot from the left point that was saved.
