KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan hockey team will take on the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology for its annual Border Battle exhibition game on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m.
This will be the first game between the Broncos and the Ooks in program history. NAIT is a polytechnic and applies sciences institute located in downtown Edmonton, Alberta. The school plays in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference.
The annual Border Battle marks the opening of the 2019-20 season, the ninth under head coach Andy Murray. WMU opens the regular season in Toledo, Ohio with the 2019 Ice Breaker Tournament.
