OXFORD, Ohio – The Western Michigan hockey team snapped its three-game losing streak, beating Miami 5-1 on the road at Steve Cady Arena on Friday night to secure home ice for the National Collegiate Hockey Conference Quarterfinals.
The 12th-ranked Broncos (19-13-1, 12-10-1-1 NCHC) picked up goals from Corey Schueneman, Colt Conrad, Lawton Courtnal, Paul Washe and Wade Allison on the night. Conrad also had two assists for a three-point night, while Dawson DiPietro had three assists and senior forward Jade McMullen tallied two helpers.
