KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan ice hockey team enters the 2022-23 season ranked in the top 15 of both the USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine preseason polls.
The Broncos open up play at Alaska-Anchorage Oct. 1-2 with games starting at 10:07 p.m. and 9:07 p.m. They will do so as the No. 12 team in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll and 14 in the DCU/USCHO.com Poll.
WMU finished the 2021-22 season as the No. 6 team in both polls after making to the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships and a program-best No. 1 seed.
