COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Eight Western Michigan hockey freshmen have been named to the NCHC Academic All-Conference team, including three to the NCHC Scholar-Athlete Team for having a GPA of 3.50 or better.
Colt Conrad, Trevor Gorsuch, Matheson Iacopelli, Oliwer Kaski, Will Massey, Jade McMullen, Griffen Molino and Corey Schueneman all earned the honors after finishing their first two semesters with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. McMullen (3.62, business), Molino (3.86, environment and sustainability studies) and Schueneman (3.72, business) earned spots on the Scholar-Athlete Teams.
The group joins the 13 student-athletes that were originally named to the NCHC Academic All-NCHC Team back in February.
