KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan hockey season-opening series against Ferris State has been changed to a Thursday/Friday series with the Broncos hosting the Bulldogs on Friday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m.
The two teams rekindled their long-standing rivalry last season as a part of a five-year deal that begun last season. WMU opened the season with a 3-2 win at Lawson Ice Arena and then tied the Bulldogs 1-1 the following night in Big Rapids.
Ferris State is one of five teams on the Broncos’ 2016-17 regular season schedule that played in the 2016 NCAA Tournament.
