KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan hockey team heads into the National Collegiate Hockey Conference Quarterfinals ranked 12th in both the US College Hockey Online and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls.
The Broncos wrapped up the regular season finishing in third place in the NCHC thanks to a sweep of Miami over the weekend and will host the sixth-seeded Colorado College Tigers on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (if necessary). Saturday's win was WMU's 20th of the season, marking the third 20-win season under head coach Andy Murray.
Western Michigan spends its 10th-straight week ranked in the top 15 and the 15th total week ranked overall.
