Haymond's Journey to WMU Began as a Kid on Vacation

KALAMAZOO, Mich.- Western Michigan senior forward Tucker Haymond recently sat down with Ben on Hoops, a Seattle-based podcast to reflect back on his high school days, playing in the NCAA Tournament as a freshmen at WMU and his journey to Kalamazoo.

A Seattle native, Haymond went with his family on vacation to Hawaii as a 10-11 year old kid. It was head coach Steve Hawkins first season as a coach at Western Michigan and Haymond and his family stayed at the same hotel as the Bronco basketball team.
