KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan freshman goaltender Hampton Slukynsky has been selected to the U.S. Men's National Team for the upcoming IIHF Men's World Championships, USA Hockey announced this afternoon.
The list includes the first 18 players, which will hit the ice in Stockholm, Sweden and Herning, Denmark from May 9-25. Slukynsky is the only college player on the initial roster. The United States finished fifth at the 2024 event.
Slukynsky has helped USA Hockey win big games before, as he's won two gold medals in his young career. The Warroad, Minn.
