WACO, Texas -- Lane Hagens tallied a top-10 mark in program history, headlining a great opening day for the Western Michigan track and field team. The Broncos were in action at the Clyde Hart Classic, hosted by Baylor.
Hagens recorded the sixth best shot put mark in program history on Saturday afternoon, earning a throw of 14.67 meters. She finished second in the event behind Bri'Yanna Robinson, who recorded a mark of 14.80 meters. She is the school's current record holder in the event. Tess Van Dyk was also strong in the event, registering a throw of 12.
