Western Michigan gymnastics closed out the 2025 MAC Championship Saturday with a third place finish, tying Kent State with a team score of 195.300. Central Michigan claimed the title with a 195.725, followed by runner-up Eastern Michigan at 195.525.
Freshman standout Reilan Garvey topped off her debut season earning MAC Freshman of the Year honors. After being named a gymnast to watch in January’s preseason polls, Garvey backed it up with consistent contributions all season – including a career-best all-around score of 39.200, just .350 shy of Payton Murphy’s program record set in 2023.
WMU’s top rotation of the day was on floor, where the team posted a 49.
