YPSILANTI, Mich. – The Western Michigan gymnastics team improved to 2-0 in Mid-American Conference competition after defeating Eastern Michigan, 195.800-195.325, at the Gervin GameAbove Center on Friday night.
Amanda Gruber picked up an event win for the Broncos after posting a 9.900 on beam, while Cassie St. Clair tied for first on vault with a 9.850. Payton Murphy tied for first in the all-around after a 39.325.
The Broncos had a strong showing on vault. In addition to St. Clair, Murphy and junior Halle Faulkner tied for third with 9.
