Gymnastics Begins Busy Weekend Friday at Eastern Michigan

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan gymnastics team has its busiest weekend to date in 2016, competing twice in three days, beginning Friday at Eastern Michigan. The Broncos will then head to Central Michigan on Sunday. Both meets are available on ESPN3.

In their last meet, the Broncos fell in a tight meet on the road to Northern Illinois 195.000-194.200. Jessie Peszek won her second bars routine of the season with a season-high score of 9.825 in the event.

As a team, the Broncos improved to No. 36 in the country, which is significant because the top 36 in the rankings advance to the NCAA Regionals, something Western Michigan is looking to do as a team for the first time in program history.
