KALAMAZOO – Western Michigan gymnastics' Amanda Gruber and Reese Samuelson have been named to College Gym News' 2024 Standout Specialist Watch List.
Gruber, a senior back for her fifth season, has been WMU's top specialist on beam over the past few seasons. Last season she shared the MAC title on the event and holds a personal-best score of 9.950 that she set back in 2022. She tied that mark in WMU's exhibition at the University of Michigan back in December.
Samuelson, a freshman from Marengo, Ill., is looking forward to her first official competition this Sunday as the Broncos host Eastern Michigan at 1 p.
