BLUFFTON, S.C. – The Western Michigan golf team earned its first tournament win since 2011 and the first under second-year head coach Elise Swartout-Mosher as the Broncos claimed the Low Country Invitational on Tuesday.
WMU shot a combined 311 to open the tournament on Monday and sat seven shouts out of first place in a tie for second with Lincoln Memorial. WMU made its move on Tuesday and shot a season-low round of 295 to finish with a 36-hole total of 606 (+38).
"Today we played like we know we can," said Swartout-Mosher.
