PORTAGE, Mich. – The Western Michigan golf team used a strong final day of competition at the KZoo Classic to move up and finish in third place after a combined score of 925 (+61) at The Moors Golf Club on Tuesday afternoon.
Eastern Michigan was crowned the champions after finishing at 896 (+49), followed by Ball State at 913 (+49), the host Broncos, and then a tie between Cleveland State and Ohio for fourth place at 931 (+67). OU's Hailey Hrynewich claimed the individual title after a three-round score of 215 (-1). EMU's Thelma Beck and Kesley Murphy finished tied for second at 225 (+9), while WMU's Kaitlyn Watkins and Ball State's Kelsey sear finished tied for fourth at 225 (+9).
