BLUFFTON, S.C. – The Western Michigan golf team sits in fourth place at the Low Country Invitational, with four golfers in the top 11 after the first round at Crescent Pointe Golf Club on Monday.
The Broncos combined for a total score of 299 (+15) and sit just two strokes behind host Wingate and Montevallo. Eastern Michigan is just a stroke ahead of WMU at 298 (+14). Grand Valley State rounds out the top five of the 14-team tournament at 310 (+26).
"We played solid golf today," said head coach Elise Swartout-Mosher. "Each of them looked confident and positive throughout the whole day.
