STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. -- The Western Michigan golf team moved up to second place after two rounds at the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate at Eagle's Landing Country Club on Monday afternoon.
The Broncos combined to shoot a second round of 295 (+8) to combine with Sunday's score to give them 596 heading into the final round, just six strokes behind leaders Elon. The 595 is the second-lowest 36 hole total heading into the final of a 54 hole tournament in program history.
WMU was once again led by freshman Claire Hernandez, who shot a 73 and is tied for third place heading into Tuesday's final round at +1.
