Western Michigan is going for its first bowl win in program history when it takes on Middle Tennessee State at noon on ESPN on Christmas Eve. The Broncos are playing in back-to-back bowl games for the first time in history and a win would give them eight win seasons in consecutive seasons for the first time in program history.
Middle Tennessee enters the game 7-5 overall and 6-2 in Conference USA play. The Blue Raiders are 1-3 all time in bowl games, all coming under current head coach Rick Stockstill. Stockstill's son, Brent, is the quarterback for MTSU.
