“Well, my father was very very passionate about hockey and loved the game and played the game and he got me into it. I loved it and played for a long time and the next best thing to being a player is being a coach. The second part is, I’m trying to avoid getting a real job,” Murray joked.
From the Travellers, Murray went on to coach for the Kolten Flyers and EV Zug of the National League A in Switzerland. The league promotes youth players and is considered one of the best youth leagues in Swiss Ice Hockey.
