KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Matt Fox made a go-ahead 3-pointer with 53 seconds left to help Bowling Green edge Western Michigan 79-78 on Tuesday night.
Fox tied the game at 68-all with 3:45 to play before Western Michigan surged to a 74-70 lead. Ismail Ali scored on a layup and Rasheed Worrell made two free throws to tie it at 74.
Tucker Haymond missed two free throws on the ensuing possession before a wide-open Fox hit a 3 from the corner and Falcons led 77-74 with 53 seconds remaining.
Worrell missed two late free throws and the Falcons then fouled Wilder with four seconds left, who made the first free throw and missed the second intentionally.
