Former Western Michigan safety Justin Currie has signed to the Cleveland Browns' practice squad.
Currie, 21, was originally signed by the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2015. He started 37 of 47 games with 339 tackles and five interceptions with the Broncos. He led the team in tackles in 2013 and 14.
The 6-foot-2, 212-pound Curried spent last season on the injury reserve list following an ankle injury in a preseason game against Jacksonville, and was then cut by the Giants this fall. He had six tackles during the preseason.
The Browns also signed another safety Wednesday in Trae Elston.
