Former WMU football offensive lineman John Keenoy has signed a free agent contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers just two weeks after his former team, the Dallas Renegades of the XFL, had to fold due to the league filing for bankruptcy.
Keenoy started 51 of 52 games in his career for the Broncos while earning 2016 and 2018 Second Team All-Mid-American Conference honors, as well as a first team All-MAC honor in 2018.
He spent the beginning of his 2019 football season as a member of the Minnesota Vikings before being cut and picked up by the Renegades in the XFL draft.
