KALAMAZOO, MI -- At first blush it may look like the Western Michigan football team is deep at quarterback.
No fewer than five red practice jerseys adorned players scattered around the field at Waldo Stadium during spring practice Tuesday. That red acts as a stop sign for all defenders looking to apply some pads to the offensive player wearing it.
On Tuesday, that courtesy also belonged to redshirt freshman Matt Falcon, albeit against his will.
Falcon, once a 4-star running back recruit out of Southfield High School in Ypsilanti, had initially committed to the University of Michigan.
