KALAMAZOO, MI - Somewhere in the Keenoy family home, a photo album protects a picture of a sixth-grade John Keenoy snapping a football to a sixth-grade Jon Wassink on a nondescript Grand Rapids football field.
Fast forward nine years and a couple hundred pounds later, the duo will again combine to snap a football, but this time with an army of Trojans and 93,000 spectators trying to photobomb the image.
Western Michigan football coach Tim Lester confirmed during his team's first practice Thursday that Wassink, a redshirt sophomore quarterback from Grand Rapids South Christian, is the team's starter entering fall camp.
