KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan football team will wear gold shoelaces for Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer during Saturday's home game against Monmouth.
With this initiative, the Broncos are continuing their partnership with the Go4theGoal, a national pediatric cancer non-profit with the mission to improve the lives of children battling cancer by providing financial support, developing and implementing unique hospital programs, funding innovative research, and granting personal wishes.
WMU's Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer effort comes right before September, which is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
In Michigan, Go4theGoal has supportive relationships with Helen DeVos Children's Hospital and Mott's Children's Hospital.
