KALAMAZOO, Mich.- The Western Michigan football team earned high marks in the classroom during the Fall semester, achieving a team GPA of 3.08, the second highest in program history.
In total, the Broncos had 61 student-athletes with a fall semester grade-point average of a 3.0 or higher and 33 players who made the Dean's List with GPAs of 3.5 or better. Ten Broncos managed to carry perfect 4.0 GPAs in the fall.
Western Michigan 16 players earn Academic All-Mid-American Conference honors, the second most in the league. Five players were voted as Distinguished Scholar-Athletes by the MAC's faculty athletic representatives.
