After a career day that nearly resulted in what would have been the biggest upset this college basketball season, sophomore guard Michael Flowers has been named MAC West Player of the Week.
The point guard accounted for 50 percent of the Broncos offense in the 70-62 loss against No. 5 Michigan, scoring a career-high 31 points and bringing down seven boards.
"He was getting to the line, being aggressive and was able to make some tough shots," Michigan guard Jordan Poole said. "I felt like we were playing solid defense, especially on a lot of his pull-ups, but he was just being a big time player today and made some big time shots.
