AKRON, Ohio – Despite a 30-point performance from junior guard Michael Flowers the Western Michigan men's basketball team was unable to overcome its first half deficit in an 84-69 loss at Akron on Tuesday night.
Flowers notched his second 30-point game of the season and third of his career on 8-of-14 shooting from the field with five three-pointers. The Southfield, Mich., native was also 9-of-11 from the free-throw line and recorded four rebounds and three assists in 39 minutes of action. Flowers scored 23 of his 30 points in the second half.
