EAST LANSING, MI – After winning all 13 regular season games in 2016, Western Michigan is 0-2 early in its 2017 college football campaign.
The outcomes of the two road games against fifth-ranked USC and a hungry Michigan State squad aren’t ideal, but the mood was far from somber, as Tim Lester spoke to the media following Saturday’s 28-14 defeat to the Spartans.
There is plenty of room for improvement, especially for an offense that failed to pass for 100 yards in consecutive weeks, but there are also bright spots that should continue to shine with WMUs’ two toughest opponents in the rearview mirror.
