KALAMAZOO, MI – The opposing sidelines could not have been in more stark contrast following Wednesday’s rivalry football game between Western Michigan and Central Michigan.
After maintaining a lead for the first three quarters, Western Michigan allowed Central to start its comeback climb in the fourth quarter, and the Chippewas went on to steal a win in Kalamazoo on a 77-yard touchdown pass from Shane Morris to Corey Willis with 2:37 left on the clock.
The victory was CMU’s first against WMU since 2013, and for Chippewas players, it brought back memories of improbable finishes from the 2014 Bahamas Bowl and the 2016 win over Oklahoma State.
