SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Western Michigan softball team battled Notre Dame to a 2-1 loss at UND's Melissa Cook Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
Sophomore pitched her first career complete game, going the full six innings, allowing just five hits and two runs, while striking out one. WMU's lone run came courtesy of junior , who hit a solo home run in the top of the second. and were responsible for the other two of Western Michigan's three hits.
The Fighting Irish got on the board first in the bottom of the first inning on a RBI double by Addison Amaral, scoring Olivia Levitt.
