KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan track and field team heads west to the historic Hilmer Lodge Stadium at Mount San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif., for the annual Mt. SAC Relays beginning on Thursday.
WMU has a long-standing history at the Mt. SAC relays under head coach Kelly Lycan. The Broncos' last appearance came in 2011 and it was one for the memories. In an elite field Western Michigan claimed the 4x400-meter relay title and Samantha Draney broke the program's 10k run record.
Thursday's action features the hammer throw, the 3,000-meter steeplechase and the 10k.
