Kalamazoo, MI - The Western Michigan Baseball team scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to take the lead back from the Eagles of Eastern Michigan inside Robert J. Bobb Stadium Sunday afternoon to secure the series sweep. The sweep of EMU is the first weekend sweep for the Broncos since March 2nd-4th against St. Bonaventure in Port Charlotte, FL during part of the Baseball teams annual spring break trip.
With Western Michigan leading in the top of the eighth inning, 4-2 it looked as if Eastern Michigan had all wind taken out of their sail.
