KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan hockey team has sent eight student-athletes to NHL developmental camps this summer.
Wade Allison, Neal Goff, Matheson Iacopelli, Mike McKee, Griffen Molino, Mike McKee, Aidan Muir, Frederick Tiffels and Corey Schueneman all set off this summer.
Allison, an incoming freshman, is camping with the Philadelphia Flyers. The Flyers selected him 52nd overall in the second round to become the second-highest draft selection in WMU history. Also attending a camp in the state of Pennsylvania is Tiffels. The junior forward is camping with the Pittsburgh Penguins, who selected him in the sixth round of the 2015 NHL Draft.
