KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan baseball junior outfielder Blake Dunn was named the preseason Mid-American Conference Player of the Year by D1Baseball on Wednesday afternoon.
Coming into the 2021 campaign, Dunn is ranked the 93rd best college prospect by D1Baseball, the highest by a player from the MAC.
Prior to the 2020 season Dunn was named one of the top 150 hitters in college baseball according to D1Baseball analytics. Dunn was also one of 55 players named to the preseason Golden Spikes Award Watch List, an award giving annually to the top amateur baseball player in the country.
