KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan hockey team wrapped up its home schedule with a 4-1 loss against No. 8 Denver on Saturday evening in front of 3,010 fans at Lawson Ice Arena.

The Broncos (8-22-3, 5-16-1-1) picked up a goal from Nolan LaPorte but the Pioneers had once again put WMU down 4-0 before LaPorte's late goal. DU's Tanner Jaillet made 32 saves on the night as did senior goalie Lukas Hafner for Western Michigan.
