ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Senior thrower Aniya Davis continued her strong start to the 2021 outdoor season after winning the discus throw to highlight the Western Michigan Track and Field team's final day of competition at the ADIDAS Winthrop Invitational on Saturday.
Davis, who won the discus at the Blizzard Buster hosted by Miami last weekend, threw a distance of 158' 11" (48.44m) for her second win of the season. Madison Ochs finished right behind her in second place with a new personal-best distance of 151' 1" (46.05m). Ochs also went on to take third in the shot put with a distance of 41' 4.
