Daniel Braverman used inspiration from hall of famer runnung back Gale Sayers to recover from offseason knee surgery in hopes of making the Chicago Bears roster this season.
The second-year receiver, a seventh-round pick out of Western Michigan in 2016, underwent surgery to his left knee in January and then read the autobiography written by the Bears' legendary running back, "I Am Third" during his rehab.
"It's a great book; I loved it," Braverman told the Chicago Sun-Times. "I could relate to it . . . the hours you have to put in to get healthy.
