KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan cross country team is set to compete in the 2016 Mid-American Conference (MAC) Championships this weekend in Kent, Ohio, following last season's highest team finish since 2003.

"The team is really looking forward to competing at the MAC Championships this weekend," associate head coach Taryn Sheehan said. "Championship events are always about competitiveness and coming together as a team. The nine women lining up this weekend have not all been on the starting line at the same time since September, so we are really excited to see what they can do collectively.
