KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan cross country team will head to East Lansing, Mich., on Friday, Sept. 16 to take part in the competitive Spartan Invitational at 12:30 p.m. for the second meet of the young season.
"Every meet in a cross country season is like a stepping stone getting ready for the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Championships," head coach Kelly Lycan said. "With this being just our second race of the season, if anyone didn't do something like they wanted the first time, they can go out and try to change it. Starting faster, more aggressive or whatever it may be, this is a chance to change how we work.
