KALAMAZOO, MI - The Kalamazoo community and Western Michigan football fans braved the rain to give the Broncos a warm send-off as they travel to Detroit for the Mid-American Conference Championship game.
The send-off was organized by Discover Kalamazoo and the organization asked fans to line Michigan Avenue between Rose and Portage streets to show their support.
The bus rolled through near 12:30 p.m. Thursday with a police escort as supporters waved gold and brown pom-pons, signs, oars and Western flags to cheer the Broncos on.
