OMAHA, Neb. -- Western Michigan fell 6-3 at No. 12 Omaha at Baxter Arena on Saturday night after a big second period by the Mavericks broke the game open.
UNO scored five straight goals between the end of the first period and the beginning of the second period to take a commanding 6-2 lead before Michael Rebry netted his second goal on the night to cut the lead to 6-3 but that's where the comeback effort ended.
The Broncos also picked up a goal by Nolan LaPorte and finished the night 2-for-9 on the power play.
