“It’s a hard-knock life for us,” as the Detroit Lions started the season 0-7. First “we get tricked,” as Seattle Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright batted the ball out of bounds, giving the Lions a loss in week four. Next “we get kicked,” in a loss thanks to a 60-yard Hail Mary pass from Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers to tight end Richard Rodgers, as head coach Jim Caldwell decided to play lateral defense in the final play of the game - with no time on the clock. It’s a hard knock life.
The Lions had some bad luck this year and, players have underperformed, but the real reason for turmoil this season is because of Caldwell’s inability to take control of circumstances.
