INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Western Michigan hockey's Colt Conrad has been named the NCAA No. 2 Star of the Week after his performance in WMU's historic sweep at No. 11 North Dakota over the weekend.
The senior forward had an empty-net goal in Friday's 2-0 win, the first road shutout for the Broncos at UND in program history, to help put the game out of reach. In Saturday's 6-2 win he had a career-high five points on one goal and four assists. Conrad's goal, his fifth of the season, tied the game up at 1-1 in the first period.
